Here are the 7 questions I use:
- What did you commit to achieving in the last week?
- What was the reality?
- What did you learn?
- What are you working on next week?
- What exactly needs to be achieved for you to feel happy with progress? [Next week’s commitment.]
- What obstacles need to be handled?
- What is your mini-plan?
Close of play on Friday is a good time to set up this regular weekly review. It takes about 45 minutes using a question and answer format. You can do it as a self-reflection exercise, or with a buddy. Most of the time will be spent figuring out new strategies to overcome obstacles, then integrating those into your master plan.
You do have a master plan, don’t you?
